Holiday Pictures
Thought I would share some of my holiday pictures with you. This is the season that I love most of all because it is filled with great scents of pine trees, glittery decorations, and festive spirit. Not to mention, it is the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord! Add in the briskness of winter and the snow falling silently over the yard, and it really brings out the happy! This year, I treated myself to a bread maker and have been baking up a storm for my friends and neighbors to also enjoy. There is nothing like the smell of warm bread baking. MMMMMM!!!!!
I like old fashion Christmases. My tree doesn't have lights. I add bows, ribbons, pieces of wood and pine cones, and every ornament has a story to tell from the year that I first got it. These are cherished memories of past Christmases and of friends and family who have passed. Treasures memories I get to revisit each year.
Brought my Lime Tree in for the winter. Added some winter charm around it to give it a more festive feeling.
My grandfather painted this picture of my mom when she was 19 years old. This year the painting is 70 years old! It's a priceless addition to my home and I made this little Christmas display to tell her, where ever she is now, she is loved and missed, as is my dad, and my grandparents.
I had left-over garland so decided to make a glitter basket with some big (and heavy) ornaments and a snowman.
<--This decoration is new this year. I added in an extra tree (the gold glittery one on the left) to give it a pop of sparkle. Love to put this on in the morning when I am sitting in my massage chair, sipping on my morning coffee, watching the fireplace fake-crackle and pop.
This is my tiffany home ornament that I got the first year I bought my home. Love putting it out to remember how special that day was to me and how much I love this house with all its charm!
This is what happens when Michaels has a sale on big bows. It was a pain to put up but the end result is looking great!
I'd say Houdini likes it when I put on the fireplace. ...Heater hog....
Outside is looking just as festive (albeit a lot cooler!)
