My Photo Picks
of the Week

This Week's pictures are all about the flowers!! I cannot believe I have spring flowers re-blooming amid the summer and fall ones! It's crazy, but I love it! My yard looks and smells wonderful!

This 'Simply Magnificent" lavender rose certainly lives up to its name! It is in full bloom right now, next to my lavender plant and across from the white climbing roses. It's also a great color contrast against the plain white fence behind it.

White Trellis roses with hint of pink in the center.

This rose deserves two spots this week for being so gorgeous!

This is my only white hydrangea and it took awhile for it to come around and bloom, but I have two more just like this one and couldn't be more elated about it!

This is my big red hibiscus plant. The petals are insanely big but quite beautiful. Wish they were more Maine-weather tolerant!

These zinnias are  on the plant list  for next year. They gently surround light purple pansies and yellow roses. The dark color is a great color and pairs well with the green grass.

<-- Foxglove and silver mound make a beautiful combination. Right behind them is a flowering dogwood tree, white azalea bushes, yellow roses and orange zinnias.

This was a freebie last year from my favorite shopping spot. I brought it home, gave it a haircut, watered it through the winter and viola! I have a great looking plant for my yard this year!

The yellow cosmos have been blooming all summer long and look really great next to the red climbing rose.

This is the only begonia I planted in the ground. It's in front of the zinnias and hibiscus to present a pop of color.

Summer Glow Hyssop has a very soft reddish pink flower. I planted this behind the green hydrangeas and orange firesticks. Although you can't see it in the above picture, there are a flock of coreopsis right beside them that are blooms of red and yellow.
